A simple guide for installing HubSolved, our custom API integration that pushes isolved client data to HubSpot.
1. Go to hubsolved.com
2. Click "Install App"
When you click "Install App," you'll be redirected to HubSpot's OAuth process. This is your way of telling HubSpot, "I trust this integration to access specific parts of my account." You'll get to choose which HubSpot account you want to integrate with your isolved data. Once you confirm the permissions, you'll be sent back to our service, all set to go.
The OAuth process keeps everything secure. Your passwords remain confidential because the trust between isolved and HubSpot is established through secure tokens, not password exchange. These tokens can be revoked or refreshed as needed, keeping your data safe while allowing seamless interaction between the two platforms.
3. Select the HubSpot account you want to connect to.
You'll select the radio button next to the account name, and then click the orange "Choose Account" button. You'll then be directed to a registration page where you'll submit your account details and your isolved credentials.
4. Complete the form on the registration page.
This is where you'll be prompted to enter your email address and create a password. You'll also have to provide your isolved API credentials.
If you already have your API credentials, you'll need:
- isolved API URL
- isolved API Client ID
- isolved API Secret
You must have isolved API set up to install the integration.
Each partner requesting this API integration must submit the API request form to their isolved Account Manager. Once that is processed, a case will be created for isolved to setup the API in your environment. The API request form can be found on the isolved Partner Portal. isolved can typically setup the API within a week or 2.
Once the API is set up (or if you already have it set up), you will need to email Joel Hollenbeck stating that you approve the API to have access to all clients. Joel can be reached at JHollenbeck@isolvedhcm.com.
Once you've submitted the form, you will be prompted to verify your email address. Then, isolved and HubSpot will be connected and you'll be ready to start mapping your properties.
5. Log in to the portal by using the email address and password you entered when you have registered the portal.
6. Click the "Properties" button in the top right of the screen.
The button will appear after you log in. Clicking it will take you to the mapping tool where you can choose which isolved fields push to which HubSpot properties.
7. Start mapping your properties.
